WHAT IS THE MEANING OF NATIONAL PARKS?



NATIONAL PARK IS AN AREA DEDICATED FOR THE CONSERVATION OF WILDLIFE ALONG WITH ITS ENVIRONMENT. IT IS ALSO MEANT FOR ENJOYMENT THROUGH TOURISM BUT WITHOUT IMPAIRING THE ENVIRONMENT. GRAZING OF DOMESTIC ANIMALS,ALL PRIVATE RIGHTS AND FORESTRY ACTIVITIES ARE PROHIBITED IN A NATIONAL PARK.EACH NATIONAL PARK USUALLY AIMS AT CONSERVATION,SPECIFICALLY OF SOME PARTICULAR SPECIES OF WILDLIFE ALONG WITH OTHER

SOME IMPORTANT NATIONAL PARKS:


1.CORBETT NATIONAL PARK, NAINITAL (UTTRANCHAL)


ANIMALS FOUND: TIGER, ELEPHANT,CROCODILE,NILGAI,etc.

(FIRST NATIONAL PARK OF INDIA WHICH IS FAMOUS FOR TIGERS)

   


2.KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK SIBSAGAR (ASSAM)

ANIMALS FOUND: THIS IS FAMOUS FOR ONE HORNED RHINOCEROS OF INDIA

                              
                                             


3.KANHA NATIONAL PARK ,(MADHYA PRADESH)

ANIMALS FOUND :TIGER,FOUR HORNED DEER,WILD DOG,BEAR, etc


 



4. RANTHAMBORE NATIONAL PARK (RAJASTHAN)

IT IS POPULAR WITH THE PRESENCE OF TIGERS



5. SUNDARBANS :TIGER RESERVE (WEST BENGAL)

ANIMALS FOUND :TIGER,DEER,CROCODILE, etc.


 

6.GIR NATIONAL PARK, (GUJARAT)


 THIS NATIONAL PARK IS FAMOUS FOR THE ASIATIC LIONS ,PANTHER ,LANGUR ,CROCODILE ,etc


 


7. BANDIPUR (KARNATAKA)


THIS NATIONAL PARK IS FAMOUS FOR THE ELEPHANTS

  4. thanks ma'am for know to me about national parks actually i know its a general awareness part but i dont know really how many national parks in india being apart i dont know whats the differene of national parks and sanctuaries thanks a lot

      3. Grazing is not allowed.

      4. Forest products are not harvested.

      5. Private ownership is not permitted.

      6. Boundary is well demarcated.

      1. It is meant for protection of only fauna.

  25. The Kanha National Park in Madhya Pradesh came into being in 1955 and forms the core of the Kanha Tiger Reserve, created in 1974 under Project Tiger. The Park's landmark achievement is the preservation of the rare hardground Swamp Deer (Barasingha), saving it from near extinction. Stringent conservation programs for the overall protection of the Park's fauna and flora, makes Kanha one of the most well maintained National Parks in Asia.
